ORDER

Subject:    Promotion to Senior Administrative Grade (SAG) of the Indian Statistical Service in the scale of pay of Rs, 18400-22400.

The President is pleased to order that the following Junior Administrative Grade(JAG) officers of the Indian Statistical Service be promoted to Senior Administrative (Grade (SAG) of the Service in the scale of pay of Rs,18400-22400 w.e.f. the date of assumption of the charge of the post and until further orders :-

5.        This order will be subject to the outcome of the following court case:

(i)        MA 479/99 in OA 2151/96-Shri Bhim Sen vs. Union of India in the Hon'ble Central Administrative Tribunal, Principal Bench, New Delhi.

(ii)       CWP 454/99-Union of India vs. Bhim Sen in the Hon'ble High Court of Delhi.

6. Immediate action may be taken to relieve these officers of their present duties to enable them to take charge of the new posts as ordered above. A copy of the charge assumption report may also be sent to this Ministry in due course. Arrangement may also be made to supply a copy of this order to the concerned officers for their information and record.
